Arline Beer of Meadow Valley California, created this gorgeous dress using Issue 45 of Australian Smocking and Embroidery. (It's the dress on the cover.) In addition, she used our marvelous Bluebird fabric! What a beautiful job!
Jean Reiter from Oakdale Minnesota created these lovely dresses for her dolls. The one on the left is "Polly's Pinafore" appliqued with the dolly sized appliques in our "Victorian Tea" Happy Hemlines Applique pattern. The one on the right is Beth's Basic Dress. Both are Primrose Lane doll clothing patterns. Thanks Jean! You did a beautiful job!
Jean Reiter also created these beautiful appliqued garments. Doesn't she do a wonderful job choosing her fabrics? The one on the left is our Beth's Basic Dress, appliqued with the dolly sized appliques from our Noah's Ark Hemline Applique Pattern. The outfit on the right is our Back to School Jumper pattern for the 18" dolls. The pattern also includes the appliques in child's sizes so you can make coordinating outfiits. All three patterns used are by Primrose Lane.
Jean's husband Karl built this incredible dolly wardrobe for her. Isn't it amazing? His workmanship is wonderful, but filled to overflowing with Jean's handiwork, it becomes breathtakingly beautiful! How lucky her granddaughters must feel when they get to come play dolls with Grandma!
This is a picture of my sister, Sharon Anne Baumgard. She teaches elementary school in Ohio. She is wearing our Happy Hemline's Harvest Holidays applique design on "Sharon Anne's Jumper". It's not often that you get to wear a garment that has been named after you!
Catherine Molloy of Kent Washington sent me the following picture of her daughters! Aren't they beautiful? The dresses were made using dress patterns from Australian Smocking. The white one is "Celebrations" from Issue 43 and was made for her daughter's First Communion. The pink one is "Titania" from Issue 26 of Australian Smocking. She altered the sleeves and collar so that the dress matched her older sister's.
Here is another picture of the girls with their dolls wearing matching dresses. What lucky young ladies to have a Mommy who can create such special memories for them!
I also want to thank the Yuen Lui Studio in Kent Washington, for taking such beautiful pictures, and allowing Cathy to share them with us.Primrose Lanetm
